last console v i had here a few years back had most of the caps showing high esr.
replacing every cap and resoldering the feedthrus got it going.
belongs to a local farmer.
he never turns it off.

From everything I have seen, this is definitely in my plans. The SAMS Photofact for the Sidebander V has two "board views" that I think identify the feed thrus VERY well and I plan to visit them when I finish the caps!

I’ve never used Strouds Electronics yet in Marion Illinois but he came highly recommended to me from a couple folks that I can say Honestly have. I’m not sure if you pass on contact info on this site but google him for info. The people that recommended him to me had him go thru their Trams Brownings and a couple of older Pace radios with superb results.
