Scientists say 2013 may be peak year for solar activity

SOME scientists are claiming that the solar peak isn't there yet. If you look at the graphs of the last two years, it is clear that this cycle has been a bit dismal compared to others in the past. It also appears to be waning from those same graphs.
I think some scientists think that it should be the same as previous cycles. Because it isn't; then they think it isn't over with yet. The evidence doesn't support that. Or they are thinking 'the best has yet to be seen'. Dunno if it is wishful thinking on their part or they have a betting pool in the office. I tend to believe the latter.
Either way, I hope they are right. 2011 was a fantastic year and I sure would like to talk to even more and different countries than I have already.
Any else looking forward to some possibly fine DXing if they are right?
