Sears Roebuck 1940 Radio Amateur Equipment

That was an interesting read. Thanks for posting.

CPI calculator says that $1.00 in 1940 is $18.79 today.

Ham radio was very expensive then.

National HRO Receiver, without speaker or power supply, $179 in 1940. Equivalent to $3,363

A two element beam and rotator for $59 in 1940. Equivalent to $1,108 today.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
