skipper by palomar

i ran across this amp and have no idea what it is as far as input wattage and output wattage.it is a mobile,with a blue face.it has it has power,preamp and am-fm cw ssb switches with a rotary knob for low,med,high and max.does anyone know?

Oh they did make a 2 pill version also. If your box is ohh 8"-10" long maybe? then it should be the 4 pill.

How much are one of those amps worth? And how much power output does the 4 pill version push out?

There have been several versions, but the one with Motorola 454 transistors should be good for about 350/400 watts on SSB and stay reasonably clean.
They had regulated biasing that actually worked decent, they make a good little mobile 10/12 meter amp
Some of the later ones had 2879`s in them as well.
Not bad little amps.

That depends on how much some one wants it, what kind of condition it is in, so on.
100-150 dollar range maybe?
