Was wondering why there was hardly any days with the solar flux around 200. Checked NOAA site, geez, it seems cycle 25 may have peaked last August 2024. Maybe another 2 years of skips, then back to the low bands....
I heard it peaked this last December. Still pretty decent conditions most days here, but it's not what it was a few months ago.Was wondering why there was hardly any days with the solar flux around 200. It's not over yet, we've still got conditions as we ride down the peak of the cycle. At least a couple of good years if not a little longer. Right now it's doing what it always does into the summer months, the fall will bring conditions back in again.I heard it peaked this last December. I'll enjoy it while it lasts......I seem to be the last local left standing, so once the DX goes into the doldrums I will probably just pack everything away and focus on one of my many other hobbies. With any luck I'll still be on this earthly plane when cycle 26 rolls around. I'm 60 this year, so I figure I got a fighting chance LOL!
Yep boys, reality is that we're on the ride back down and it's flown right on by! Hopefully the prediction is correct and that it doesn't decide to just face plant on us causing the fun to end sooner.
