The South Bay Sidebanders Club aka 'The Banders' getting BBQ at the best BBQ joint in the South Bay Area. A mixture of 'The World Radio Club'/freebanders and local Ham operators.

Some of the BEST Kansas City style BBQ can be found at Sam's BBQ.

There are about 20 members in the Banders Club. There were only 10 at this meeting; those that didn't make it this time will probably be at the next break. 4040/'fortymobile' and Dago didn't make it this time; but they are normally regulars at these BBQ feeds.

Oh yeah; forgot to comment about this picture.

On the left is a local Ham by the name of Mike Phillips.
On the right is local Ham Bill Fukuba (WWRF member).

For those who used to watch battle bots on TV; these guys used to be the designers/builders/operators of the champion battle bot "Max Wedge".

They were the first to conceive of a battle bot with NO weapons!
Acceleration and materials made it a winning combination strategy. The bot had 1/16 of an inch of ground clearance and had a gearbox with a 9:1 ratio. The sides of "Max Wedge" were made of titanium. They would just flip their opponents over and slash them with a titanium edge.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
