Spot the fake

So honestly, what's wrong with buying something made in China as long as it meets your needs? Seriously, if you are pissed at the aggressiveness of the marketing or the generally lower quality of goods ( albeit cheaper) then don't blame China. Blame your own country for allowing such things to take place. If people were not demanding cheaper goods and higher wages then companies would not have gone to China to manufacture their goods. Also if the governments (plural intended) of the day had a little more balls there would be higher tariffs that would offset the cheaper goods making it harder to import and sell in North America. Yes, whether people want to believe it or not the REAL problem with Chinese goods is in fact US not THEM.

Amen! I don't have any issues with buying stuff made in China because it nearly impossible not to. Even most American cars have some parts made in China. Open your Yaesu, Kenwood, Alinco, Ten-Tec or any other manufactures product and you will find parts made in China. The game is over and the US lost live with it.

It started long ago....
Back in the early 80`s the company I worked for was hot and heavy in the apple concentrate business, they ran 3 shifts 24/7 for 6 months+ during the year on a line dedicated to processing apples.
As the 90s rolled around china was flooding the market with apple concentrate cheaper than it could be produced here.
China is now the world's largest supplier of apple juice concentrate, and about two-thirds of the U.S. apple juice supply now comes from them.
Hell apple juice is not even part of traditional chinese diets.... over 80% of the apple concentrate they produce is targeted at foreign countries.
There are many cases like this in the food processing industry.
Same scenario with grape juice concentrate, pomegranate juice concentrate and many others.
Other countries are in on the game as well, South America is the world's largest producer of sugar. Brazil actually produces approx 6 times more than China.
You can put forth a diligent effort to eliminate foreign made goods from what you buy directly, but unknowingly you are still feeding the overseas machine because we do not have control over where manufacturers are sourcing raw products from.

Our country has become accustomed to buying cheap products from them, there is not the same consumer attitude about American quality like there once was, now it is all about $$ and this extends to the Mfg level as well.
