Sounds strange for sure, maybe something loose in the socket?

Stryker 955 left on. Won’t power on now and has 12 volts at plug

As in Pin 1 and 4 are tied, but short to pin 1 - which leaves pin 4 open at the Mic plug.
Which then means the SPEAKER return (Ground) may not engage even though the mic would work otherwise in a Galaxy or Uniden SSB radio.
Cobra 25, 18 or even the 29's it wouldn't because the Speaker ground is hooking up Pin 4 thru Pin 1 at the Mic switch...
In Stryker's case, it would be Receive Control.

....Not all connectors are pressed firmly into place or have soldering issues and need to be reheated...
The Hand Bone is connected to the Mic Bone, the Mic Bone is connected to the ....

We don't know if it's been opened and inspected by #7 and then reassembled but not re-tested to verify the radio does power up and operate - before they put on the...
