Stryker 955 NPC/swing mod

Yes, you can.
C68 is the spot you connect 100 Ohm/1n4148 combo. As marked on the attached image.
Also I would disable AM limiter, NPC will take care about it. Remove R27 for that.

Question : when doing an NPC mod on a 955 , do you need to remove C68 or leave it in place ??? Question #2 are the results any good ? I’ve done NPC mods before, some work well on certain radios

Instead of hacking the radio for more average power... Just get an amp
I agree. I purchased two 955HPC+ radios at the same time and both radios have been working great for one year. No mods on either radio and the Low Dead-Key is 1.5 watt and High Dead-Key is 8 watts. My friend bought one radio from me and we both have a 2-pill amp driving a 10-pill amp. We keep the dead-key out of the 10 pill at 200 watts.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
