Stryker with a TS 350HD verses an Magnum S9-175

i have run both the s-9 and the s-3 and the s3-80
and to me and just my thoughts the receive had a very hashy sound to it

Well...maybe I have the 1 out of a 100 but the S9 receive on mine is a very "mellow" sound. Maybe its the tech. Maybe is just that it's one of those radios where everything comes together. I would also agree that radios will vary from radio to radio. I would not make a statement and say all Magums are like mine. Now my 447 I would say might be called "harsh"... with more noise when compared to the S9.

All I know is ... this particular S9 is one sweet TX/TX radio.

Ive never ran the 175 here, but Id say its too much for a 350 to handle....Id sell the 350 and get something bigger if you intend on staying with the S9-175 radio....

To give you a idea how good those S9 radios are/was....

I sold the one I used to have, it was the 40w radio with 1969 finals in it, and I ran it close to 5 years and used it with several amps too...but anyways, the guy who bought mine and he used to have a Galaxy 99, in which I told him he would end up selling it after he ran this S9 for awhile.......
And that's what he did..

Those radios are a sweet one, and will drive amps really well too..

This S9 will be used barefoot w/o an amp.
It will get out as far as I will need to get out.

Agreed...I am well pleased with this S9

Update ... Well after another year of use I am still well pleased with my S9. No issues at all. So pleased that recently I stumbled on a very nice S9-350. It is now in my possesion. The transmit and recieve on these radios are top notch in my opinion. I do run a Siro 5000 mag mount. My S9-175 will soon go into retirememnt.
