NO. Now if the ANTENNA gets hot then yes the SWR may change but the bigger issue is the fact you are running more power than the antenna can handle.
Your radio gets "hot" ??????
What kind of SWR reading do you get when it's cold?
If the SWR only rises above the danger level * ONLY * when the radio overheats, this suggests a radio problem.
And if the SWR is high when the radio is cold, you really need to fix the cause of that before you roach the radio.
