Hi Everyone,
I had a local operator drop off a Ten-Tec 526 with a strange issue. During transmit or receive the radio produces an ~300Hz hum that can be heard through the speaker on rcv and by others on xmt. I thought it might be in the audio circuit but when I pump in a signal in USB for instance, with no tone, you can hear the hum. The stronger the signal the more intense the hum. I am wondering if it is an alignment issue?
Anyway, I contacted Ten-Tec by email only and I get those emails bounced back. On thier web site (if you dig a little) it states that they suspended operations for now but they are not closed. It also stated that they are no longer responding to any support needs.
Would anyone have an alignment doc for the 526?
Thanks as always!!
