I’m sure this is covered elsewhere but I’m struggling to find the info I need. What position is the input capacitor in on a dx250? I’m working on this amp and have high input swr. I’d like to replace the cap with a variable...location and size of the variable would be awesome...thanks guys!!

I would have called C8, the one in parallel with the input to T1 the 'input' cap.
Probably will see more influence on input impedance changing that cap than with C9.
The capacitance value range for C8 will be easier to cover, as well.

If it's a DX-250 non-variable, C8 will probably be 91pf. An Arco 425 compression trimmer will give you pretty good range as a variable replacement.

A year later and that part is gone with the wind...
I have a feeling RF Parts will be gone in a year. Every time I shop there, more stuff is gone. They don't seem to care either. R.I.P. RF Parts... 
Yep, they sold off the majority of the new old stock equipment they had last year. I agree with above, they're probably on their way put like several others have done.
