This amp does not work, and I need some suggestions. Both transistors Q1 and Q2, 2n4125 and 2n4126 have been changed out with generic pnp switching transistors.
Question 1, do they need to be original numbered transistors?
Question 2, where would the best place to buy them, Jameco carries one but not the other and so does Mouser.
So far I have found one bad diode,D1 and one bad capacitor, C2.
The 1.6 ohm resistor,R8 on the schematics checks ok, but looks like it may have been a little warm, I have a new one on the way.
When you key the amp up the relay clicks on AM, but no lamp on meter and no output. Same on SSB, audio will click the relay but no lamp light on the meter and no output. My wattmeter starts to move on key up, but only to about one or two watts and quickly falls back to nothing.
Any suggestions on what to check? I am overlooking something and can't seem to find it.

Thanks for any and all help, Sammitch
