I finally own a key, a Lionel J-38 Key.

I've had it for a bit while I brush up on the code and have been practicing. I just wired it up and I think I'm ready to get on the air. It just takes practice, right? :thumbup:
 

Got one just like it, but mounted to a board with a thin sheet of rubber to keep it from sliding around! Lots of DX with that honey!

You'll never get on the air with CW until you get on the air with CW. So I bet you can guess what my advice is... :biggrin:
 
nice key. I like the old stuff, usually quality.

My straight key is a cheap plastic one probably made in China.

But I have a couple old bugs that are nice, but my level code is more suited to a straight key.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
