We used to have a similar store back in the day, (Felton's Electronics) but in 1969 it burned to the ground. It took up nearly a 1/4 of a city block. Took 4 fire departments including trucks from K.I. Sawyer AFB to get the blaze out.

This was back in about 68 or 69 so I'm sure any surviving merch is long gone. But someone did open the store and have a few years of a Felton's fire sale going.

I meant I could smell the store in the original post. Old electronics have a distinct smell.

I miss the days of having time to work with the stuff in the shop. This weekend I figured out how to force install Windows 11 on a Windows 10 PC that Windows 11 diagnostic saying is non compatible. That was the fun recently. I still have the stacks of PC and PC parts in boxes. I would drive to Houston and stay over night to shop there.
