There is this thingy being posted on the web stating it turns house hold wiring into an antenna.

demo.jpg

Looks to be using the house ground wire as antenna extension. Doubt it actually works due to the electricity running through the AC wires. Any one here actually know about this?

It does what it says as far as using the house wiring as an antenna. AC on the wires is not an issue unless the unit fails and allows that AC voltage to get into your device via the antenna jack. Basically they are garbage. If it works so will rabbit ears.

yep i remember a version that had a tuner and so239 so you could use it as a monitor for cb,,, it had a 3 prong plug but it only was using the ground pin,,,, that was back in the day,,,,

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
