Why try and retrieve it? They do this knowing it may wind up further damaging the wreck to a point of not longer to even to be safe to try and tour or visit for heritage and mourning?

It's not like, it's got a stash of Mitsubishi 1969 finals in a drawer right next to the tube set and telegraph key.

I think it’s pretty damaged already, won’t be much longer that there won’t be anything recognizable left. I imagine that radio is in as bad a shape as the ship itself, I’d be surprised if you could tell anything about it. More surprised if they can actually find it.

Besides...Jack wanted to get away from Rose so he faked that sinking and dying. Rose fell asleep and he painted up his face to look dead. She let go, even though she said she wouldn’t, and he slipped down to the ship. The boy can hold his breath. He grabbed that radio, the dipole off the ship AND that bag of 1969’s.

He then hopped a freight ship to the new world and opened up shop, he was the OG of “fine tuning”.
