Typical method is to rewire it so the VFO will run the transmitter. The only way they could get the radio approved for legal sale was to wire the slider for receive ONLY.

The slider will cover a few channels below, and up to around channel 57.

And if you go this route, stick a couple muffin fans on the rear of the unit, to keep that VFO drift down.

I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
