Doing the 40yr/100k mile tune up. I see some resistors denoted as wire wound and some as metal oxide I'm assuming the rest are just regular metal film? Don't like to assume just double checking. Thanks Ira

The ones that get overheated and have to be replaced are mostly in DC circuits. The fix is to use a replacement rated for twice or triple the original part's wattage rating. A DC circuit won't care what kind of resistor. Only RF circuits are affected by a resistor's construction. And if you're using one of our lists from decades ago it was written for the techs on hand at our shop. Specific resistors reflected parts we had bought in bulk from surplus and closeout sources. Mostly the radio won't much care.

Thanks Nomad, Yes I'm using the list from the old write up only had a few I wasn't sure about. Appreciate the input. Don't mess with a lot of these old tubers just wanted to double check. Got all the caps ordered went with the JJ multi cans the rest is pretty straight forward until I get to the alignment might have a few more questions when I get to that point. Once again Thanks Ira
