I picked up a Triplett 3444-a tube tester it did not have roll chart holder or tube chart in it. I bought a book off ebay that shows operation and has tube chart but quite a few tubes not listed like 8950. Any opinions on this tester? The GM kob also does not zero but tester does work but so different than my Sencore.

Never owned a Triplett tube tester. It was a legitimate brand name for meters and test gear back in the day.
Most testers will check a 8950 if you use the listed setup for type 6KD6 but with the heater supply voltage set for 13.5 Volts.
That's all the 8950 is on the inside.
