tube watts louder than transistor watts ???

From my understanding (oh so limited) .... No matter tube or transistor, the scope doesn't know nor care which it is. All it cares about is that things are sinusoidal and the spectrum analyzer only care that it's on frequency.
*edit to add*
So they're both going to sound identical according to how they look on a scope....unless you're over driving one to make it match the other, then of course the over driven one will sound worse.

To coin a phrase...
Analog retentive :)
@nomadradio

Toobs are just , different.
Pick your poison , High voltage and low current with high impedance or ...
Low voltage and high current with low impedance or ...
Goofy voltage (65) moderate current (50A) and near 1:1 impedance.

I may not be able to tell you what it is but I can tell if it's right.

Just get it right :)
