Sorry about all the questions lately but I recently Have changed my equipment , I was looking at new mic's an last night my brother gave me his + 2 it was wired to a 40 ch Laffayette it has a 5 pin plug an I need to wire it to my Cobra 140 gtl . I did some research an can't find the wiring for the plug an I doubt if its going to be plug an play . Does anyone know the correct wiring . Thank you .

Thanks I think I found that on another sight however it doesn't list the 140 hopefully it the same as the older models . I must say that download is a lot easier to read then the last one I found .

well looking at the cobra 140 at cbtricks .com it is a 5 pin. id try it and see what happens
if it dont work maybe we can figure it out.if it doesnt work check the battery first.
then tear apart the plug and tell us if its a 4 wire or 6 wire. i think its a 4 wire
but i could be wrong

Hotrod I think its a 4 wire also , I'm going to pick it up this weekend before he changes his mind . Maybe I'll get lucky an it will work , I did notice on some model's the wiring is close I might end up just switching a few wires . Thank you

Got the mic and it has a din plug on it so In have to put the right plug on and I'm going to use the wiring sequence of my SSK hopefully its the same . I think it should be .

Hotrod , I pulled the end off the one that came with my 2000 an there is only 4 connected . I don't see thee others I better peel the casing back an see if they are in there ! That mic doesn't work right on the radio I have been trying to figure it out since I got it . I wrote a lot of posts on here trying to straighten it out . lol Thanks ! ( If I turn the mic gain up it distorts the receive ? )

The D104 that came with my 2k had a wire run outside from the mic stand to connector at the mic jack. I think the guy said it squealed and a tech added the wire to stop the squeal.

My silver Eagle had the same wire I disconnected it on this 2000 an it worked better it was on another 2000 an had issues on mine its fine . Go figure ? Maybe something to do with the mods in my new 2000:unsure: ?
