I have a brand new uniden 68 Pc 68 ltx I want to turn the modulation up inside the radio Is Rt 401 the right adjustment???

If that board is the same as a Cobra 25, PC66XL, and many others, then VR-5 is your AM Modulation adjustment. Just don't be turning it up all the way and feeding it a power mic.

Used to be that this was only a matter of looking up the service data, or the schematic diagram and passing along the ID it's marked on the circuit board.

Uniden stopped printing service data for CB radios decades ago.
