I have a Uniden PRO 510XL CB mounted on the top of the dash in my truck. It's a great little radio but the only problem is I can't read the channel display in bright sunlight...there isn't enough contrast. Has anyone had this problem? Any ideas on how to modify? All I can think of is a little cardboard or metal visor for it. I don't want to relocate the radio because it fits really well where I have it. Thanks.

You can have the LED's converted over to blue. Personally I don't like them at night because they are hard on my eyes, but they are the best for daytime visibility.

It's takes some experience to change these out so its not likely a do it yourself project. Any real tech at a CB shop can do it for you.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
