Uniden pro 810e

Here in Australia, the 810e's don't seem to burn out the displays, but the 640e's almost always do unless they have been used with the DIM switch enabled. I have my suspicions that Uniden fixed the problem in the 810e's, at least here in our market.
I love the "plastic fantastic" era of radios (I'm strange haha), and I think these rigs look awesome. Here are mine:

Nice lookin radios, and bench! Is that Siglent a SSA or SVA? I'm still waiting to hear the story on why they pulled the latest SVA1000x firmware from their site.

Cheers. It's the SSA-3032X PLUS, with all options enabled. You can flash the SVA firmware into the SSA apparently, but the SSA mode is much more useful for me (and it includes some basic SVA functionality when you have all options enabled anyway). It's an awesome bit of kit.

I'm not sure about them removing the SVA firmware, but maybe check the other Siglent websites (INT, EU, USA, etc) to see if it is available in another region.

Must have been a later revision of the 810e than I have. I had to replace the display in mine. Couldn't find a direct replacement at the time, so I rigged up a long legged socket. Next time it blows I'll just unplug the dead one and plug in the new one.
