Interesting article from Practical Wireless (July 2023) on using a 5.1 centre speaker in the shack. Your mileage might vary but to my ears, voice is much brighter, particularly on SSB with slight decrease in sharpness of background static. I use a re-purposed centre speaker on my ARESII which is my best sounding rig and it really shines. There is a marginal improvent on overall sound quality using my FT2000.

It cost me nought because I had a pair of these doing nothing.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
