using my Radio over the internet...

i have my TS-2000 connected to my PC using omni-rig i can run digital modes PSK31 FT8 all that fun stuff.
I was talking to a guy on 10 meters he was at work using his radio. but his radio is an icom 7100 and he was using icom software to do it. i am sure they make software i can run on my computer at home and then use my work laptop or my phone..
So do they make universal software that will utilize the control box i have the same way i run digital?
it needs to run on Windows 7 and Free would be cool..

Remoterig, but I would rather sell Kenwood and buy Icom.

Yeah that is not going to happen i'm saving up for a $27,000 roof on my house so no new radios..
