Hello

I have a Vectronics 500 and I'm stumped on the NO RF out. It has a Plate voltage and there is current draw. All 4 tubes light up and it seems to work, but no RF out. It's like the connection to the Antenna out is not working. Anybody have idea?

You haven't received an answer because not enough information has been provided. In the absence of a schematic we could use some good pictures of the top and bottom to start. Can you describe how you know it's drawing more current in transmit? Is there a current meter or other indicator?

At this point it could be anything from a blown driver tube to an open coupling capacitor between the stages or in the output tank. Are you familiar with tuning a tube amplifier and the high voltage hazards inside? It may just be way out of tune. With some pictures and more feedback from you, we can begin to zero in on the actual problem.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
