VFO for an Ole Johnson Messenger 223

Hello all! I'm a new member with a question. Working on an old Johnson Messenger 223. Got it up and running. Works great after a new set of tubes. Does anyone know of a VFO that I can run on this thing to get up to the 24 - 40 channels. If so, any info on how to hook it up? Thanks

If you could find a Model D-1 Pal "Tuning Monitor" in semi decent condition, it could be attached to your Johnson 223.
