WANT A LOUD RADIO?

If anyone is looking for someone who can really set a radio up to talk, Chris AKA "Cherry" at CBR Electronics is awsome. He set up a Uniden 78 for me with upper and lower channels, variable wattage, turbo echo, talkback and he set this radio up to talk - and it does... I'm very pleased with this radio, Cherry is DA BOMB! The radio is doing around 25 watts on my meters, but it aint about watts - it's about AUDIO and it has plenty.

Thanks Cherry and CBR, Hossless

I agree totally 100%

It begins with the radio.

Justin, no hard feelings. I am one who tells it like is see it. I had problems with the way business was handled at FGbest - that's past. We all do things differently and go about things in our own ways. I know for a fact you know your electronics.

I wish you well in your new edeavor...

PS, I know this post has nothing to do with the "WANT A LOUD RADIO" post.

You can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all the people all the time. IM just glad there's tech's out there that can make there customers happy no matter who they might be. S-K

with any electronis things can happen without warning so if today you have a mic wired and tomorrow the radio is off frequency or lights burn out doesnt mean it was the person who wired the mics faul. Unfortunately there are people who dont understand this. That is why I never take any bad jargain I here about techs to heart or to serious unless its something I can see or follow with myself l;ike people ripping others off on purpose ( not taking care of a situation or making it right) Like in the swap shop blacklist. I have had excellent radios and after they sat went to use them or fire them up to sell and guess what broken well it happen the other day with a 2510 and its happen with other things not just cb or ham radio equipment . Its happen to all of us tv stereo car electronis in motor coil module etc. Anyone that was that bad of a tech would not be in business they would have no customers but if you make a number of people happy thats what keeps ya going. As said you will never be loved by all and make everyone happy some people just are not happy in general. We all just have to remember anything can happen with electronics and when things go crazy for me or someone else and I here about it I say WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF ELECTRONICS!! I am glad to here you have found yourself a good tech just keep in mind when things happen its not necessarily his or her fault and you wil;l be just fine. I have heard and seen the work of a few techs that were clearley at fault of a radio melt down so it can go eather waay but throwing stones before investigating is just at ignorants as a tech that ruins a radio for someone in my book ..

Justin is a forum member and a very smart tech and the other person I know about as much as you do about him.LOL

When we transferred all the posts over a few got lost, unfortunately. Anyway, Justin is a real good west coast tech on ham radios, cb's, amps of all kinds, and business radios. CBR is a CB, amp and Car stereo shop in NJ.

Hey there..

want a LOUD radio...
forget those 11 meter radios modified..

Get a icom 706MKIIG or better radio...
i didn't say it was cheap..
the 706MKIIG will talk circles round those 11 meter and 10 meter radios..

KingCobra, do you really think an Icom can touch a well set up 25, 29, 76, 148, etc? These radios were manufactured to talk on 11 meter AM. I just can't see a ham rig being able to put forth the audio on AM. I have heard a lot of guys talking on 11 meters with ham rigs, and they just don't have much audio.
Just my opinion on what I have experienced.
