There are some YouTube videos that might get you started in the right direction or give you ideas on things to try, antenna building is pretty simple with wire or aluminum poles, the dimensions are critical and it gets more complicated with matching baluns, a good first antenna is a 1/4 wave ground plane

Welcome Richard, You might be able to Google the ARRL handbook. They have tons of info on antennas.

Spend some money and buy either an antenna analyser like the MFJ 259/269 or a nano-VNA if you're going to start building antennas. They'll save you a load of time and effort chasing red herrings.
