1 in the group gave me new silver eagle. Damm it kicks azz.on my stryker 955 radio gain 3/4 open mic 1/4 open n im getting reports like DAMM YOU SOUND GREAT ,crytal clear are you running an equilizer?
I gave him a new in the box icom 2300 in return n he added 3 sections of a tower.
And i traded for 3 more sections.be tower erected this spring.

lookin fine. d 104 was always a kickass mic.
had a robyn base,cant remember the model but it was easy to expand with d 104. did lots of dxin with it. dummy me sold it. guy wanted mic n paid well but missed that mic

I had a 1977 model D104/TUG8 bought new. Loaned it and a Cobra 89XLR to a buddy when I changed QTH and couldn't put antenna up. Never saw either again.

If I loan someone my stuff and it breaks, it probably was going to break no matter who was using it. But I want to be the one who breaks it...

I have come to a point in life that "if I loan" something to someone, I don't expect it back in the same condition.
I expect wear and tear and nothing lasts forever.

My problem is that I keep forgetting that other people do not treat things the way I do especially when it comes to ensuring NOTHING happens to it. Most people figure WTF a little scratch won't hurt anything. It will still perform fine. I figure that if I can own something for 20 years and it still looks almost like new, Why TF do you have to dent and scratch it in a single weekend when I lend it to you?

yes agreed 100%. or kids was looking and spilled a bit of milk. looked like poured a huge glass in it
years back ,guy i worked with wanted to hear a cd,i let him for 1 day. moth later i got it out of his truck. was cracked. asked for replacement. he laughed n said cheep disc.
8 months later he set a mobile home just north of me.
guy we worked for TOLD HIM GO GET MY BIG TRACTOR N USE IT. he fired it up n drove it to his place and engine locked up. i got home tractor was gone. i knew nothing about that loan n called sheriff turned in stoled. that evening the deputy said we found it. i went with deputy and was ready for more bs. when we got there he said it was junk. i said never gave permission n it had no oil in it .i drained it toremove oil pan due to leak. he started laughing. i told deputy he stole it. after that was over he bought a rebulit ihc engine for a 135 horsepower tractor. never spoke again n guy i worked for thought i was wrong,i said you were wrong as much as him.later i found he paid half the bill

Lost many items, and got a lot back not working or broken. I still try to have a little faith...but not so much anymore.

I had lots in the tractor. It was a $20000. Item
But karma rolled round.his wife divorced him n nailed him with huge child support 4 kids . Im like wow .
