Watts or Antenna most important for DX?

I got started when I was 14 smart ass.

There are days I feel a lot older than 50 though.

My first radio was when I was 14 and I talked from the north shore of Lake Erie to the south shore. I thought I was a radio god (for at least 5 minutes that is). That's about 40ish years ago.
