Have 2 real nice, good working vintage Black Cat jb-75a modulators. These use a 8417 tube, set your carrier low and let her swing....both do just a bit under 100w pep. $75 shipped, each!

Long night here

guys the original post was from 2016, then 2019.
digging up bones here but those sure are some nice bones.
squeal like a pig when keyed.

The splatter is onto other channels above and below the one your talking on. Then you have splatter to the second and third harmonic.

I never heard anyone complain about splatter
Of course you didn't. The people experiencing the splatter were on other nearby channels and likely didn't know where it was coming from!
If I'm chatting on the radio and splatter wipes me out, I usually just change channels or find something else to do until it's gone........I'm not going to waste my time trying to find the source and then try and tell some dude he's splattering. They never believe you even when it's 100% them, and most of them just ignore you.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes

Wes, it's better if you start a thread on the main forum, more people are going to see your question.
