This was the bane of the old CB Tricks forum. Went from dozens of bogus signups a day to a hundred or more at one point.

I'm the only admin of a bowling discussion board and I must delete at least 20 bogus accounts daily.
Anything to get someone to click a link.
But yes, it happens more than you think, just hit the report post button and we will do our best to get rid of them.
