Hi,

I've decided to put together a couple of old-time Expo 100 "O" kits. I haven't had a problem finding the resistors needed and already have several hundred ordered. However, I'm not sure what the number of the transistor used in these kits is.

I've got several original kits, and the numbers on the transistors have been scratched off.

Do any of y'all have any idea what the number is? Thanks and 73 - Steve

The instructions in the CBTricks info say to ground the emitter of the transistor. Makes it a NPN. Since it's used as a DC switch, about any small NPN will work, like 2N2222, 2N3904, 2SC945 and literally hundreds if not thousands more.

Just be sure about the pinout.

Hi,

Thanks, Nomadradio!

I had a stroke a couple of years ago, and this stuff doesn't come back to me as quickly as it once did...

Got some 2N2222s ordered on eBay, now.

Thanks again, and 73!

Steve
