Where can i get this key up from?

I have one of those in an old SBE desk mic I got in a box of junk at an auction for a buck. It's that exact same tone at keydown, and the other two buttons sound exactly the same as well! However, the one I have was installed in the mic LONG before Redman was ever around making stuff I'm sure.

~Cheers~

Why? Why add extra noise? You want to sound special? Put out a good, clean, loud and clear signal. THAT will get you noticed.

I hear crap like that OTA and I change the channel or just shut it off.

I agree with "Why?"
But there are people out there that will make any sound noise toy you want

Most likely for keydowns. Use a loud tone or sound byte and save your voice I guess. More modulation lol.

That's what I was thinking when I heard it. I remember "Tattoo Johnny" running one in my home town, and that was in about 1978-79. He used to run a big D+A amp, and would bleed all 40 channels (and then some, more than likely) when he keyed up.

As for the "why"? I don't get it either, but obviously a lot of people do, or he wouldn't be selling these:

Redman CB 25 Sound Noise Toy :: Flaming Fruity Bear

You've got to at least love the name of it.:lol:

Brett

It's kinda funny to key that thing down once in a while... but I don't really use mine either. I keep it more for the nostalgia than anything, and the SBE desk mic matches my SBE Console V radio quite nicely.

~Cheers~

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
