Wild Setup

I laughed when it said 500 kw Thats some cooking power right there!! LMA:lol:!!

that was in reference to the big shortwave stuff. I figure the L4B running at an easy 1000 watts with the 22 dB curtain array is about 160Kw ERP. Nothing to sneeze at for sure.

The best I ever did was at an AM site we decommissioned in the winter of 1986/87. It was a top loaded 96 foot high three inch diameter mast with 120 radials. One hundred watts into that on 80m or 160m yielded more EI and G stations as well as a few DL's than we could shake a stick at. They all reported 59++ signals. We never tried any other bands as we had far too much fun hammering Europe on 160m mainly.Still that was just peanuts compared to the Radio Nederland facility those guys in the video used.

to think of the actual ground foot print you would need for that 160/80 setup....that's enough pasture for 10-30 horses depending on how fast it grows

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
