I run a magnum S45Hp, a DX500V,and a wilson 5k magmount. Used it a few weeks, the mag started discoloring the paint on the top of the truck.
So I ordered a roof mount kit w/coax for the Wilson 5k. It came with RG58 (skinny cable).
Question is, is this coax big enough for 500-600 watts?

oh heck yeah ,i ran a 12 pill thru mine .mind you i am not long winded but i keyed that sucker at a kw already and never melted the coax .you will be fine .

Its easy enough to solder a new piece of coax onto the roof mount.

I pulled my roof mount from one install to put into another car, simply bought a pre-made piece of coax, snipped one end off and soldered it onto the mount.

I have ran a 2-pill, 1x2, 4-pill, an old beat and tired 6-pill, and a 1x4 though the OE Wilson coax without any issue.
