Wire antenna building supplies

I am looking for an affordable place where I can order wire and insulators and stuff to make a couple of wire antennas.

I am familiar with The Wireman, but their prices seem a little on the high side, but maybe that's just because it has been a few years since I was looking at that kind of stuff.

I got a 1000' roll of 12g stranded plated wire off craigslist years ago, im still cutting on it........

Electric fence supplies are cheap. Many are great for building & installing antennas!

Any wire from any source is fine for an antenna. Make your own insulators from a piece of cheap PVC pipe. PLENTY of cheap options to go with. Just use your imagination and if in doubt just ask here.

All the goodies here...CK is right though it can be done really cheap if you shop around and do a little improv

Got everything I needed (except coax) from Menards.

R and L Electronics have good prices on most of the stuff I am needing. .29 a foot for 300 ohm ladderline looks like the best deal I've found.

I see the need for specialty shops but sometimes it pays to think outside the box. Wire is wire (okay I get its not), I can pay a lot or a little, I chose little.
