Worldwide DX Ad

Well I just posted a sat recording and about 1/2 way through it you will hear catch you on worldwidedx net, of course its actually com but I think folks can figure it out.

We should try and pick out a pass on one of the satellites and try and do a Worldwide DX QSO party. We can start a list of call signs and try to contact as many members here as possible and record the pass.

AO-51 and WWDX .com! Doh!

I knew as soon as I said it that it was .com but hey, that was one of the crazy AO-51 passes. Great fun though these satellites and nice to hear you again this AM. I'm eying that Wouxun HT to add to my stable of VX-8DR, VX-5R, FT-51, FT-530, VX-2 and Standard 508A...(it's a sickness).

Ya that was slip hehehe I didnt catch it till I was listening to the recording. I also use the cheapest Olympus I could find and I just use the stereo y plug and it works just fine.

I'm going to try to see if I can work a couple passes of AO-51 this weekend if my schedule let's me try it when the bird passes by. Hopefully I'll hear you guys out there

Great. I am in FN31 here and I believe Craig is in FN42. CA to CT or MA would be a big footprint for a LEO wouldn't it?

Yeah, I'm not sure that's going to work unless we both are able to work a really low angle pass that goes between us. Take a look at the satellite footprint models that SatScape produces and it will give you a good idea of the coverage.

I had absolutely zero time to get on the radio this last weekend...but hopefully this week I'll work a few passes.

On hand held radios might not get it, but I did work a station in Montana, and I did get one other in Washington State.
