Just got one of these microphones. It works great. I don't use echo much, but the echo in the microphone is in a different league than what's in my Stryker 447HPC2 radio. Mic is definitely a keeper.

What does vr1 do ? Its the third potentiometer on the front side of the circuit board where the board itself has to be removed from the mic to get to vr1 what is it ?
Hmmm I've never had one completely apart so didn't know there was a pot on the other side. Can you follow the traces to see whether they go? Maybe a gain for the element, just a wild guess.
Didn't see it on this link. Maybe it adjusts the noise canceling level not sure.
