XLR mic on radio requireing rx

Has anyone used an XLR mic on a rig that requires the "receive" wire ? How do you accommodate for it ?

External PTT switch. Ground to the common of a SPDT switch. N/C to the RX and N/O to the TX wire.

Usually I put relay into the radio.
