My 101ZD is doing this sometimes, and I have noticed other rigs would do it also. Good loud Receive coming, Key up to reply and it seems like it takes 4 or 5 seconds for the Receive to slowly fade back into hearing range. Anyone know the for sure cause of this?

Might be a relay hanging as well.

Thanks Captain Kilowatt, that seems to have been what it was. I had never noticed any change at all with that switch, putting it down to an old, sleepy rig. Some of this stuff takes months to come back if it ever does, after time on the shelf. Plus, it's new to me and my 101EE has no equivalent. :D

When you say other rigs, your other rigs?? If so check your coax connections. You might have a bad connector or some other issue.

I meant other rigs like my Yaesu 757 GXII. My Yaesu 101EE did it a few time also, but in that case, it WAS the relay and replacing them fixed it. ;)
