I have a FT-2000 issue that started up. The main receiver when I unkey from talking there is a delay in the receiver opening up to hear the response.
The delay can be 1 to 3 seconds causing you to miss the first few words of the response. This only happens on the main receiver and not the sub receiver. I usually just match the sub receiver frequency, so I don't miss any words. My thoughts is the switching transistor between transmit and receive. I can't seem to find a service manual of decent quality to read and try to see transistor. You season repairmen may have seen before so I need some assistance please,
Dave

You'll HATE hearing this...BUT... unless you have done a master reset first...Just saying...seen more than one function of radios go crazy...reset... all ok agn...Software?
GL

That's seems like a really long delay for change-over, unless menu setting or Software driven...2 cents worth

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
