Yaesu FTM-350R TNC

I am confused about the built-in TNC. Can it be used with a computer, or do I still need to purchase something like a KNC3+ for that purpose? Does the Kenwood 710 allow serial access to its TNC?

There's no serial access to the TNC as far as I know...it's there to do APRS period. That's how they spec it and market it as far as I can see.

I'm hoping this is something that gets addressed by Yaesu in a future firmware update.
