I am confused about the built-in TNC. Can it be used with a computer, or do I still need to purchase something like a KNC3+ for that purpose? Does the Kenwood 710 allow serial access to its TNC?

There's no serial access to the TNC as far as I know...it's there to do APRS period. That's how they spec it and market it as far as I can see.

I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
