We had had some heavy rain so I kinda blew it off

Finally decided to take a look

The female adapter on the left side was split/cracked

Not sure where you are at, but did you check the freeze line depth for your area? I know here in Tennessee it's like >16", I'm guessing you're farther south because that looks like less than a foot. Just curious.

Yes sir thanks I am by Beaumont Texas east of Houston headed towards Lake Charles

We do have our share of freezes occasionally

Glad you got it fixed, I have seen a few leaky valves. Texas has been experiencing a rough winter the last few years, weather patterns changing I think.

Yes sir idk why that was down there it was covered with grass and no indication on the surface. Perhaps it was marked at one time I bought the house in 2002

Well since it was leaking for at least two weeks I figure it ain't gonna hurt to leave it on for a little bit for Smokey

I'm in central Alabama, and all of my lines are 2' deep (minimum). I know, because I buried them.
