I don't know what the fourth plug is for. I just unplugged the old board and plugged in the connectors to their respective plugs. No, I didn't get any paper work but I have an invoice for it. Invoice description: V-Blue---SMT B Experimental Board. Item code: V-Blue---SMT B.
I called these guys at RadioSupply.com . They took my order on the phone. I had slated this Viagra board for my Ranger TRE-936ffc but I have a board coming for that by LesCom.

the picture looks as if there is a plug you hooked up in the 4th possition that is on the new board. is there a plug there or not.might just be the pics are misleading. looked like orange and red wire going to it.

No,only three plugs from the radio.
If you look at the Galaxy Viagra board instructions on the CB Tricks link I posted you'll see where all the wires go.

am familiar with the old boards. just not the new one you have now. the pic if I look close I can see where the wires I thought were going to the plug goes out the other side. I have 4 of the new boards coming. I have used the ones like you pulled out with 3 plugs. just thought you might have some instructions that came with it. I have been on cbtricks since 2001 and keep up on what is upgraded. Bennie has not upgraded any thing for the past 2 years now.
thanks for your info

I was looking at this info just a little while ago. see where it ties in but not sure what it is suppose to do. I searched the web and Galaxy's site trying to see if I could find any info on it. so far nothing. I thought about emailing galaxys tech support and see if they have any info on it. with the holidays here it will more than likely be after the 1st of the year before any one would respond to the email.

just got off the phone with Galaxy tech support about the Viagra B boards. John said he had no idea who is making the board and even selling them now. he was asking questions about it to see what it had in it. plus he said if someone has one in a radio for waranty work it will void the radio waranty. he said Galaxy stopped making them years ago. guess that is why we have not seen many for awhile.
he said ranger could be making them but putting Galaxy on them. also he said there is a mic out with the galaxy name on it which they do not make either.

Thanks. My Galaxy will be out of warranty in two months. Radio Shop Supply is an authorized service and parts center for Ranger. Originally I bought the SMT board for my NOS TRE-936ffc but I realized that the 'V' on the SMT board must mean 'Viagra'. I went ahead and installed it in my 959 because LesCom has already sent his board for the 936. The SMT V-Board is a direct drop in replacement for the older Viagra boards. I just need to get the 959 realigned but it's pretty close to being on frequency.

Call Radio Shop Supply when you get a chance and get their take on it.

is Dustin at Radio Shop supply. if so that was who John from Galaxy tech support said I could call , he said maybe he could answer the extra plug that is now on the board. we have a few drivers that run the 959 and 949 radios and have been wanting the board since they run lower 19 and do not like changing the channel to channel 8 to get lower 19 . we just do the P5 mod so they can get the lowers they want.

Did you find out anything else about this SMT board?
